This is one of the best bits of footage of 60s surfing in Britain on youtube . It shows the Great Britain championships at Fistral beach sometime between 1966 and 1968 going by the board designs ; lots of Bilbos on show. Looks to be a late summer scorcher with suitably summer waves. Rod Sumpter looks to be nailing it on his dark decked Bilbo and is on the podium at the end.
