Here's Graham's copy of Wavelength no 1 from 1981, launched by John Conway and went on to be one of the most successful surf mags in the UK through the 80s and 90s. The first few issues were in large newspaper format with lots of colour ,and are very scarce now.
A couple of contest brochures held in Jersey, which hosted a lot of early contests and had a wealth of local talent. Dated 1968 and 1970, above sponsered by a cigarette company, which seems a bit weird now.
British Surfer no1, the first British surf mag and top of many collectors lists. Launched by Rod Sumpter. Below is an ad from a British Surfer of 1970 for a Guernsey surf company called Blade - anyone heard of them before ? Thanks to Graham for sharing some of his collection.
Just come across your post on blade surf boards. My father is still surfing and making the odd board 40 years on.
