Well done to Gee for organising a successful contest yesterday at little Fistral. After a dodgy looking forecast the waves came right in the end with contestable shoulder high sets with very light onshores and hot sunshine. A field of around twenty surfers battled it out on vintage singlefins ranging from a 5 ft Pete Mcallum to a 9ft6 Bilbo. Champ on the day was Jimbo Bennett above who did really well against some professional competition.
John's dad's Con. John remembers being pushed into waves on this when he was a lad.
