I love reading stories about boards being saved from the tip, whether local or a thousand miles away. Wayne sent in these photos - his brother plucked this 5'9 quad from Benoni dump in South Africa recently, and is trying to find out more about the Jet label. What a cool board to find at the tip, and great condition with original early 80s gloss coat and nice four fin setup.
There were some boards under the same Jet logo made in Australia at the same time, shaped at Byron by Tony Cerff ;I'm sure Damion at boardcollector knows more about them.

Those boards look amazing! Which surf shop/cafe are they in? I used to live in Durban, South Africa, before moving to Australia, but next time i'm in South Africa for a holiday I'd love to go check this place out!
