Another Ocean Magic

Just when this blog was turning into a Semmens fanclub here's a board from t'other one in the partnership Pete mooney McCallum. Mooney was a New Zealander who set up Ocean Magic in 1976 and later sold it to Semmens. This twin fin dates from around 1977/8 and is a bit of a project board but worth the work as Mooneys are rare and its just a nice all round board at 6'4 x 21 x 3 with some lovely detailing in the pinlines although there are some crude elements like untidy edges on cloth overlaps. Its all part of the character though, the early beginnings of a great company. Anyone got any green fins ??

And another one..

Here's a nice pintail Nigel Semmens board off ebay, no 1091 , 6'1 x 20 3/4 x 2 1/2 , a looker which went for a healthy price, money well spent whoever bought it.
