Petticoat was a British teenage girls fashion magazine . Not usually of great interest for us but in July 1966 they made a surfing edition ! Some London models trooped down to Cornwall , called into Bilbo to grab a couple of beautiful newly finished longboards and a few of the local surfers to star in the photoshoot. They did the shoot at Porth in Newquay , and the photos and words sent out the stoke surfing to teenage girls (and their boyfriends) up and down the UK. I wonder how many tried surfing after reading this.
