Hendy & Harbers

Here's another couple of Hendy and Harbers seen on recent travels. These two added to the ones I already know about make seven - so theyre not exactly common. Theres a full history of H&H on the blog archive, do a search at the top left of the screen to get there. I'm too lazy to re -write it all out .
This one is another double ender, like mine, but more lightweight than mine and with a trimmed down Bilbo fin stamped 'Hendy and Harber skeg by Jim' . Nice looking board, it has a  knee paddling patch on the deck, from this transitional era of knee paddling to prone paddling. Its 7'5 x 21 , thanks to Shaun for the photos.

Rob Hendy, main shaper at H&H.
This one ,seen at the surf meet in Braunton, is an earlier board and a 'Graham Nile model'. St Austell power surfer Graham was H&H's team rider, and took one of their boards to the World championships in 1970. Whether this was actually shaped by Graham , or his personal board, we don't know yet. I'll have to ask Rob Hendy who is now a busy man in the world of magic !
