Here's an interesting board which I picked up at my local car boot sale for the princely sum of £25. Its a Derek Hynd newwave twinnie made in Australia by Terry Fitzgeralds Hot Buttered label. Dating from around 1980-2 it has artwork by spray maestro Martyn Worthington , whose 70s hot buttered sprays are on most Aussie collectors' top ten lists. It measures 5'9 x 20 1/4 and Hynd ripped on this size board in some pretty big conditions.Terry and Derek worked together on making the Hynd model , and ' the pair clicked almost instantly, working on single concave twin fin wing swallows and chopped squares which took Derek into the rarefied heights of the world's top ten ' ( HB website ). Although its seen some life and is a bit tanned its still a light board and a great shape, very nice to have the Worthington spray too.
