A bit more about the surf meet which is this sunday at 11 am, see poster above. The event is not invite only or anything , anyone is welcome to bring their old boards along (age pre 1990 ish) to show, swap or sell. You can also bring other surf related stuff - old mags, books, wetsuits, leashes, vids/ dvds , lps, clothes, skateboards etc ; try to keep it vintage surf related so it doesnt just turn into a general car boot sale !
Rough theme for your boards is ten of your best/ favourite boards , and a few for swaps / sale. If you have less than ten boards no problem just bring what youve got. Its free to take part, and exhibitors get special entry to the surfing museum. To everyone else, come along see some of the most stunning and important boards in the UK all in one place, grab a bargain or two, buy the t shirt, meet some nice people and check out the museum. Special guest is US legend Bing Copeland who's on his European tour ; Damion from boardcollector.com will also be visiting , and hopefully established names from British surfing will come and check out their old boards ; one will be Jeff Townsley.
Set up will be on the car park near the museum, but not next to your car. Bring board bags/ blankets to protect boards from the tarmac.
